As a long established company,  Naish Felts understand the necessity to seek continuous improvement to ensure we remain competitive in today’s markets.

 

Today, Naish Felts moves into its third century.  Our strength lies in our ability to readily adapt to changes in market requirements and to offer an almost endless range of materials that can be manufactured to customers specifications.

We have made extensive investment and improvements to the way we operate, this has included a total re-structure of the organisation, introduction of the latest manufacturing software system and significant capital expenditure on state of the art production machinery.

This has enabled accurate and efficient production of our customer’s orders that has seen our average on-time delivery performance increase to over 96% (in most cases this is 100%).

In 2009, following a number of years in which many automotive, electronic and other industrial companies had relocated to central & Eastern Europe, we decided to meet the needs of our customers and ever changing markets and opened Naish Felts Bulgaria LLC. 

 

Starting the operation in a small production unit, we soon realised the potential of this new venture and in 2010 we decided to build a new factory.  This was completed at the start of 2011 and we now operate from the new 1100sqm building.

 

The plant is located 20km from the second largest city - Plovdiv, at the Industrial Zone Rakovski and is equipped with the latest state of the art cutting and sewing machines. 

In summary, Naish Felts are equipped to offer a 'one shop stop' for all of your technical textile, felt, foam, rubber and cork requirements throughout the UK and across Europe, we also welcome export enquiries to any part of the world.

We are ISO9001 approved and currently striving to achieve Enrivonmental Standard ISO14001, we also comply to COSHH & REACH standards.  Our business plan includes achieving TS16949 accreditation within the next 12 months and we currently adopt most of the elements required in this standard.  We are knowledgeable with regards to PPAP certification, IMDS, FAIR & APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) documentation.


History of EV Naish
William Naish began his textile business in 1800 making wool corduroy for the local farming community. By 1850, he was using his knowledge of wool to supply piano hammer felt to the growing number of European piano manufacturers. The company obtained a reputation for high quality, superior service and unrivalled value for money - all of which are still at the heart of the business today.

Over the years the company expanded with the manufacture of technical felts in wool, mainly into the foot care market, military application, and a small amount of converted items. In the 1980s the company was selling its piano felts worldwide.
